background, organizational, and capability information.
These are general guides to help you quickly set and play
realistic battles for the specified time period.
If you are recreating historical engagements you may want to
do additional research, reflect actual vs. authorized strength of
your units, evaluate the actual field commanders capabilities,
layout terrain in accordance with historical records, etc..
As with painting there is no shortage of excellent
information and you will find among others,
Osprey,
Nafzinger, and Empire Press resources very helpful as well as
articles in publications such as the Napoleonic Society, Military
History, MWAN, and others.
