At the CS&C début weekend we hosted two games featuring Scenario #9 “One Against Ten” and opened up a Division+ sized points/pickup game on Saturday night. With a full sign up for each game all were well played. |
Below are pictures from the Saturday night game |
Using a 6x4’ Hotz game mat, roads and highlights using Scenic terrain “dust” of various colors, and trees from various sources. A French Division with three brigades started on the left side facing an Austrian Division with three brigades on the right. Classical meeting engagement with victory points for holding the towns & high ground. It also appears Kevin has dropped his soda in his lap and Bob is laughing at him... |
The battle in progress… there are now six brigades, two divisions, on the board for each side. In the game the Austrians seized key terrain on their left early and held it (by their finger nails) despite repeated assaults from the French line. On the Austrian right a mix of grenadier and line troops made a desperate stand against French and Westphalian advances. The center saw a culminating cavalry clash reminiscent of day two at Aspern-Essling. In the end Austrian efforts came up a couple victory points shy but the French were very much the worse for wear… Well played by all! |
